A little more about me and what I do …

  • Integrative Counsellor/Therapist – Dip Coun, Dip Working with GSD, Registered MBACP, Enhanced DBS
  • Individual & small group therapeutic sessions/workshops, gender/sexual/relational diversity -related supervision, training, consultancy. I also work on creative projects, solo & collaborations – storytelling through writing, photography, graphic art, other materials/forms, performance …

I am Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am also a member of Psychotherapists and Counsellors for Social Responsibility. I have professional indemnity and public liability insurance through Policy Bee.

My Experience

I have extensive experience of working with young people and adults experiencing a range of difficulties, for many different reasons, and on a broad spectrum of risk, vulnerability or concern.

I have experience in working with clients exploring their own gender &/or their sexual identity or orientation in an affirmative and non-directive way, liaising with GPs & referring to specialist NHS services.

I am experienced in working with clients living with a range of common mental health experiences (anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD/trauma-related, , clients who are also engaged with other agencies, clients who struggle to engage with other agencies

I also work therapeutically and creatively with nature, outdoors/walking etc, play/arts/storytelling and am open to exploring short-term to long-term therapeutic and professional relationships with those who want to work with me. I am also available to work with remotely and currently use Skype via VPN for some clients but am exploring costs for establishing a virtual practice for clients who it is not possible to do face-to-face work so watch this space for details.

Your safety, security and confidentiality is imperative to me and I seek to assure you that I promise to ensure that your data and personal sensitive information is held securely to the best industry standards.

I follow the BACP ethical framework and have extensive experience of risk assessment, safeguarding children, young people, families, and adults at risk or themselves and/or to others. CV available on request (to add link to page when written in edited form)

As a trans man myself, a non-binary man – pronouns: he/him/they/them – I am deeply committed to embracing diversity on many levels. Navigating the fluctuating boundaries of those aspects of life that felt so fixed before, like sex/gender, is one the challenges of working ethically as an integrative therapist in what are rapidly changing and traumatic times for many of us.

I am striving to navigate these boundaries to the best of my ability and to use my experience to help others navigate their own boats in the storm more confidently and more aware of where they’re going and how to get there.
